Ephesians 4:29

God had been teaching me to guard my tongue many times. 'Till this day I'm still learning. I thank God for wonderful friends who use their words wisely. Their example has helped me to experience how refreshing it feels to listen someone who speaks words that heal instead of words that hurt as it is written in Proverbs 12:18, " Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.

Ephesians 4:29 is the verse that God use to remind me over and over again what kind of words He wants to come out of my mouth:

"Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen." (NIV)

The New Century Version:
"When you talk, do not say harmful things, but say what people need-words that will help others become stronger. Then what you say will do good to those who listen to you."

and the New American Standard Bible version:
"Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear."
