Why They Homeschool

Friday, April 20, 2012

I wrote before about our journey on learning about homeschooling here. Earlier this year, we unofficially began to home-school Max. It's unofficial because I don't really use any 'formal' curriculum (he is still preschooler after all); just being intentional in teaching him mainly reading, writing, and math, in addition to teach him about God, His Words, and 'Practical Life' skills. I can't thank God enough for the chance and the experience. It is such a blessing and privilege to be along his side learning new things and acquiring new skills. We take this one year and a time and see how it goes.

Remember my post on my favorite blogs? I was surprised to learn that many of them homeschool their children. Some of them post the reasons why they chose to do so. I just put the link here for my own reference.

  1. Thanks for this. We are going to start ours in public but want to be ready to adjust if needed, great to have a good resource for a starting place in mind!
