Toddler Apron

Saturday, February 2, 2013

When I was pregnant with Wes, my little sisters, Nana and Fonda made the diaper cake below for me. They gave it during the baby shower and I gave birth that night. I went to the hospital right after the guests arrived and prayed for me. :)

One of the gift items was a lovely fabric to be sewn together into baby bibs and burping cloths:
But then I got sick right after giving birth and life got busier with 2 little kids, which leave me little time to sleep let alone sewing. By the time the kids get easier to manage and I find time to sew, Wesley already passed the "drooling" period and no longer need bibs so I thought I could turned it into something else. Then I remember a little girl who love to 'help' her mama in the kitchen. After some thinking, measuring, cutting, and sewing, a toddler apron is done:

Kirsten's mama shared the picture of her wearing the apron, which makes me smile from ear to ear. Can't wait to see you baking with the apron, sweetie. :)
