Letter to my kids: on America, The Beautiful

Wednesday, December 11, 2013

Dear Max,

When you read this, you may not remember it anymore, but we learned this song as part of your Kindergarten's history lesson today.

We went through the lyric and sang the song together. I just printed the chords and lyric so I can play the piano part. I think we will be singing this song together until we nail it. I hope you one day you realize how blessed you are to live in this great country, where you got to freedom to live, learn, speak, worship, and pursue your passions.

When that time comes, I pray that you also remember that God don't bless us to keep the blessing to ourselves but we are blessed to be a blessing for others.
"And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times you may abound in every good work." 2 Corinthians 9: 8

Much love,
Mama
