Field Trip: Fitzgerald Marine Reserve

A friend told us that last New Year Day was the lowest tide of the year; perfect time to explore beautiful tide pools. So off we went to Fitzgerald Marine Reserve in Moss Beach with some friends to check it out.

The tides was still pretty high when we arrived so we went hiking the surrounding area first.

We spotted anemones, barnacles, algae,

shells,

mussels

sea stars,

It was wonderful learning experience.
