Little Boys Talk

Just a little while ago, this is how he talk:

Now he talks like this {inside the airplane on the way back to the U.S}:

Write it down or take a snapshot

Thursday, May 8, 2014

The above image is a collection of sweet conversations taken at the Ostby's home. Whenever they heard funny saying or words of encouragement they write them down in a small peace of paper and tape it on a wall in their living room. It never fail to make any visitor smile or laugh. Maybe that should be my next DIY project. :)

As for now, I am recording my sweet moments and funny conversations here in this blog.
I stumble upon this old post a few days ago. I smiled and so grateful that I wrote them down otherwise I won't be able to recall those precious moments and words.

Wes is 3

Friday, April 4, 2014

Dear Wes,

You are 3 already, baby!

I know exactly what your reply would be, "I am NOT a baby. I am a BIG boy."

See how much you have grown from this tiny baby

to this:

You still love to be carried, hugged, and kissed. "Bao bao me, ma...(translation= carry me, mom!)," you asked. {mostly when you just woke up and too lazy to go down the stairs by yourself.} "But you are already big and heavy." I answered to which you would reply, "I am not big..... I am not big...." while screaming with tears streaming down your chubby cheeks.

From a helpless babe, you are now running, exploring, and climbing like a monkey.

Koko Did It
Koko was at Vacation Bible School since morning and it was time to pick him up.
I told my two years old: "Didi, clean up, we have to pick up Koko"
Didi answered, "No! Koko did it!" {Koko wasn't even there}

Animals around us

Sunday, November 10, 2013

If you know Max, you know how he like to read and learn about animals.
One day, I purged their toys leaving them with only their animals toys and a few other toys they love and they didn't even notice the missing toys.

Us & Berenstain Bears

Saturday, January 5, 2013

Max likes reading Berenstain Bear's books. I like it too. I think if the Berenstain family live in the neighborhood, we would be good friends. :) Anyway... I just uploaded the boys' November picture on picasa I thought I give a little update here.

Starting last Fall, our family has been weathering all kind of illness from regular cough and cold to Hand Foot & Mouth disease:
followed by stomach flu, and bacterial infection. We hope this is the last one for a while and pray for healthier us in 2013.

Max continue to learn and grow. Sometimes, I couldn't believe how fast he grows. His pants get longer, his shoes get bigger, his body get taller. I pray that his heart and faith get bigger too as he grows.

Miscellany Saturday

Saturday, October 20, 2012

Hola! We just came back from a blessed trip to South California. Got to spend time with a lovely family friends and checking out Max's favorite animals again. So very grateful but I feel depleted lately fighting the third cold in 5 weeks. I miss singing, reading aloud, kissing hubby and the kiddos, eating anything other than soup. Then, I saw these series of pictures, which makes me smile so I thought I shared them with you:

Fonda came by our place on Saturday. We chatted in the kitchen when the kiddos played in the living room. Then we realized it's been quiet for a little while so she checked on the kids and found out that the little monkey had been busy ransacking her bag.

Lesson learned: never leave bag unattended in our house

Almost 15 Months

Sunday, June 24, 2012

Our sweet, determined, athletic 15 months:

He is one persistent little fella that won't stop asking untill he get what he want:

Although he can't walk yet, he can go down the stairs all by himself either by crawling backward or holding on the stair rail that Papa made.

And the skill that he master recently: *drum roll please*
We can now eat peacefully while Didi eats on his own. Yay!!!!
Remember this?

Conversation 1
{coming back from Hawaii, I noticed Max' skin is a little darker}
Mama: "Whoa... Max you looks so tanned!"
Max: "I'm almost four mama, not ten!"

Conversation 2
I was washing his face and can't help to say it again:
Mama: "My boy is so tanned now."
Max: "No mama, you boy is so wet now."
Conversation 3
{Chris was making his cold brewed coffee}
Max: "Are you making coffee, Papa?"
Chris: "Yes, I am."
Max: "Good for you, Pa!"
Mama and Papa:{ looking at each other then laughing out loud; he heard us said that phrase a lot when we try to get him to eat more veggie.}

One year!!!

Wednesday, March 28, 2012

For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well." Psalm 139: 13-14

Dear Wesley,

It's been a year since the day you came out of mama's womb. Since the very beginning, we want you, we pray for you, .
and we thank God for you.

although sometimes your loud cry makes us do this:
and your hourly waking up gave mama swollen eyes.
Thank God grandma came to the rescue:
and also many others (and many more who are not in the pics):

You are blessed with loving koko who loves you dearly,

he is always gentle and
very protective of you.

When you were 5 months, we flew 8600+ miles to see the rest of the family:
they fell in love, adored, and
showered you with lots hugs and kisses

You love...
to be held,

playing with Koko

making joyful noise

eating,
and eating,
and eating

You also like to be out and about:

going outdoor

but grass?
not so much

You are...
observant,

curious,

sweet,

delightful

sensitive

expressive

silly,

lovely,

and playful

You made our life more colorful, sweeter,
and wonderful

Happy birthday, Wes!
Jesus and us love you so much.

Lots of love, hugs, and kisses,
Papa, Mama, and Koko
