Summer Reading List

Friday, June 5, 2015

We are still two weeks away from school to be done and I cannot wait for summer break to begin. Although me and Max will miss his wonderful teacher and friends, it surely nice to get a break from our daily commute.

I am ready to dive in some good books this summer.

a. Essentialism: The Discipline Pursuit of Less

I first heard about this book from Michael Hyatt's podcast.

b. Daring Greatly: How the Courage to be Vulnerable Transforms the Way We Live, Love, Parent, and Lead

c. Hands Free Mama
I didn't have smart phone until a little over a year ago. Now I understand how quickly it can take over my attention if I am not intentional about putting it down. I love the message that Rachel Stafford shares in this book:

d. The Learning Habit:
I saw this book at the library morning and looking forward to dig in and learn how I can be better in helping my kids succeed.

e. Women, Work & The Art of Savoir Faire
Read her book: French Women Doesn't Get Fat, loved it, and later on heard about her other book.

f. Hearts of Fire: got this as a gift from our church on Mother's Day. Cannot wait to read and be challenged by it.

g. Sumatra with Seven Churches: I am going through this bible study with other ladies at  homeschooling co op.

The rest is the light reading books for inspiration:
h. The Earth Diet

i. Plate to Pixel: Digital Food Photography & Styling

j. Make Your Own Rules Diet

k. Vietnamese Kitchen

l. Design Sponge at Home

m. Greens!
