Stop Waiting for the Perfect Time

Monday, January 24, 2011

I waited for a long time before I bought a sewing machine and started to learn how to sew. I wasn't sure if I will have time. 'Till I read this article: Perfection: the thief of good enough on simplemom.net. Below are a paragraph from the article:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Last week my mother-in-law was in town, and she commented on how she almost never sewed when her kids were little because she could never find the time — until  she started sewing 15 minutes at a time here and there, randomly throughout the day. When she told me this, I was looking at my stacks of fabric and uncut patterns behind her. I knew she was right.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I keep this  in mind and it has helped me to do what I have and like to do: housekeeping, cooking, baking, exercising, sewing, blogging, reading, praying, ... 15 minutes (most of the times it's one to five minutes) at a time here and there, randomly throughout the day
