How to patch a hole in pants

Saturday, January 4, 2014

Max came to me one day, "Mama there are holes in my pants. Can you fix it?"
I love making things with my sewing machine but 50% of the time I use it for shortening pants, re-purposing, or patching holes like this.

First: Choose a fabric for the patch and cut in square:

Fold in the sides about 3/8 inch and iron

Pin the patch in place

Open the sewing machine's compartment:

Slip in the pants to the machine

Sew the patch to the pants

Done!

The pants with holes now becomes his favorite pants. Woohoo!
