Giving

Lesson from small group yesterday as we learned from Andy Stanley's lesson on Creating financial margin. One of the most important things that I learned was to give with child-like attitude. Andy told us the story when he taught his kids about managing their money: giving 10% of to God and saving the other 10% in saving and then they can use the rest for themselves. The children replied were: "Really???... I got to keep the rest while God only get 10%?"
How many of us as adults have the same attitude?

Malachi 1:13-14
"When you bring injured, crippled or diseased animals and offer them as sacrifices, should I accept them from your hands?" says the LORD. Cursed is the cheat who has an acceptable male in his flock and vows to give it, but then sacrifices a blemished animal to the Lord. For I am a great king," says the LORD Almighty, "and my name is to be feared among the nations."

Malachi 3:8-10
"Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me. "But you ask, 'How do we rob you?' "In tithes and offerings. You are under a curse—the whole nation of you—because you are robbing me. Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.
