Perfect Cold Brew Coffee

About two years ago I learned about cold brew coffee from here. Max was about 15 months then and he was helping me making one. It was good but not great.

A few months ago my lovely neighbor shared a cup of coffee that she made. It was GREAT! She told me she got the recipe from The Pioneer Woman's.

The ingredients:

Mix the ground coffee with water in a large container then leave it in the room temperature for 8-12 hours.

Then strained (I just use regular tea strainer)

Pour them inside a french press (or regular water pot if you don't have one), then put them inside the fridge

When you're ready for a coffee, get some ice, pour the coffee, mix in the half-and-half, sugar, and condensed milk. Stir well and enjoy!

Perfect Cold Brew Coffee
adapted from The Pioneer Woman's.
Yield: 8 serving of coffee
4 ounces or 1/4 pound of Ground Coffee (I got mine from Costco: Colombian Supremo)
2 litter Cold Water
Half-and-half (healthy splash per serving, as you prefer)
Sweetened Condensed Milk (1 Tablespoons per serving)
Simple Syrup (2 tablespoon per serving) - I used to use regular sugar but it doesn't dissolved well

1. In a large container, mix ground coffee with water.
2. Cover and allow to sit at room temperature 8 to 12 hours
3. Strain with tea strainer set over a french press or water pitcher. Pour coffee/water mixture through the strainer, allowing all liquid to run through. Discard/ compose the grounds.
4. Place the coffee liquid in the fridge and allow to cool. Use as needed.
5. To make iced coffee, add ice (as much as you prefer) to the glass. Fill glass 2/3 full with coffee liquid. Add healthy splash of half-and-half. Add sweetened condensed milk and sugar, stir well.
6. Taste and adjust half-and-half and/or sweetened condensed milk as needed.
