Zion National Park, Utah

We are celebrating our 12 years anniversary this week. I thought it would be fun take a walk down the memory lane before the kids and this blog came about.

For our 2nd year anniversary in 2004 we flew to Vegas then drove a few hours to Zion National Park.

Right after we arrived we hiked the Angel's Landing Trail: 5 miles strenuous uphill hike

after 2 miles hike up I was happy to know that we're only 0.5 miles away from the top

What I didn't know was that last half miles hike would be a thrilling one across a narrow path.
The view on the top was breathtaking. Reminded me of this verse, "I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth." Psalm 121:1-2

Then, it's time to hike down. Was it worth it? Would I do it again? Absolutely!

We stayed at Zion Ponderosa Ranch, which was nice and clean but I thought it would be fun to experience what it's like to stay in the Tipi instead of staying in the cabin {bad idea}. We were not campers at that time so we weren't prepare for the cold nights. Definitely will opt for the cabin next time. :)

Got a little taste of the Narrow trail the next day. Little did we know that we would be crazy enough to do the whole 16 miles hike with some crazy good friends two years later.

Ahhhhh Zion how I miss youuuuu
