God doesn't call the qualifies...

"For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him." 2 Chronicles 16:8-10

So often we hear that beyond everything else, our heart is what matters the most for God. I used to wonder... surely nothing is impossible for God; if He wants, He can choose the smartest, strongest, and most talented people right? But instead He often use the meek and ordinary.

These past few weeks, we tried to look for people to play skit for Operation Christmas Child. I got into a conversation with Fonda:  "Should we ask A, B, or C?" Then Fonda answered, "Just ask B first since he is usually willing to serve whenever he can."  "That's true," I replied.
Fonda answered got me thinking, could God thinks the same way? Instead of 'forcing' those who are most talented or "qualified" for a certain ministry/ task, He rather use those whose heart is willing.

This reminded me of one quote: God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called.
